“The role I would love to play, “Messiah” I, and II
In both the films I have used images of ceremonial martial arts.
Martial Arts are not just about self-defense but defeating the opponent with self-respect and dignity. Meditative in nature, they help to improve concentration, to strengthen one's character and to realize the value of self. I have particularly chosen Aikido, Kyodo and blocks from Karate to convey these aspects.

“The role I would love to play, “Messiah” I,
single channel ,colour, loop, duration 2.15 minutes,2007
The protagonist in the film poses as a  messiah who wants to end the power games, the viciousness and violence that follows. She poses as a savior who wants to put an end to the sorrow and pain. She poses as if to implore that we need to live with self-respect and dignity, with peace and harmony even within the present chaotic world.

“The role I would love to play, “Messiah” II,
Two channel ,colour, loop,duration 5.46 minutes,2007

The protagonist in the film rips open her shirt in defiance and challenges the gaze , the  fear of consumption. The hanumanesque gesture of the protagonist reveals her wish, her belief, and her power. She poses as the messiahanic warrior completely in control of herself.
