The works evoked a theatrical ambience and prompted interaction between different disciplines of artistic expression. Objects like railings, steps, platforms, screens became part of the installation. Their arrangement served as an obstruction for free viewing .The figuration and colours added to the experience of silence, evoking unease and tension.
This experience was explored through experimentation with sound and movement. Short plays, a choreographed poetry recitation, a dance performance and music, were evolved as a response to the work and were staged within various spaces of the installation during the exhibition at Jehangir art gallery Mumbai. The performers chose any installation as their performing space. The viewers watched the performance sitting around the chosen installation, the performing space. Performances also took place at The National Center for the Performing Arts, Mumbai, and at Triveni Gallery, New Delhi, This was my first attempt towards experimentation in using three dimensional sculptural spaces and incorporating other disciplines, a glimpse into the possibility of blurring the boundaries of different disciplines
